Part 3 Threatened to be destroyed through
“official channels” from 2010 in Wales

For eight years to 2018 we suffered a constant attack from government offices, offices being prompted by coordinated complaints to them built on an unfounded perception that trustees of our Charity were guilty of controlling vulnerable people and using financial gain for our own lustful purposes.
 

Nothing could be further from the truth, however, for from the period 1996 to 2010 great exploits had taken place through a ministry team that gave its all to a common purpose, a ministry team dedicated to “reaching every creature” with the Gospel by “perfecting the saints” for the work of the ministry.
 

In Sri Lanka this team defied all odds by entering the warzone of the Sri Lankan Civil War on a number of occasions. At Batticaloa we put on a conference where a crippled man was brought to the stage, with hands laid on him he danced for three days constantly rejoicing and praising God, but how did we get there?
 

The Sri Lankan Government had banned all foreigners from entering the warzone for understandable reasons. A Sri Lankan Army truck had hit a mine on the Giritale to Batticaloa road and it was this road we would have to cross, there was absolutely no chance that our missions team, many now pensioners could cross that road.

Intercession through the team gave a very different story, however, the British Consulate phoning me to ask why we wanted to enter the warzone and I answered so as to preach the Gospel. Are you those “Evangelical Christians”, I was asked, “yes” I said, “well you are on your own” came the reply!

 

Miraculously I was invited into the Colombo Sri Lankan Army H/Q in Colombo to meet a General who issued passes for all our team but who would drive us there, and who would insure a vehicle to cross a minefield? Intercession provided the answers with a young man driving from Batticaloa to Colombo to pick us up, a young man claiming that he knew where the mines were and could drive around them, God providing HIS BLESSED INSURANCE!

 

All of us were giving passionately into this mission out of the hearts of God rather than building up treasures on earth but our opponents saw it differently, and it became clear even at this stage that the “god of this world” had organisations he worked through to destroy ministries that were a threat to his cause, these organizations which we can name being our “thorn in the flesh” constantly on us because we were acting prophetically rather than by the natural mind, these organisations having a ideological conflict of interest in their constant complaints and actions against us, mostly looking to use government departments to pull us down, government departments that become pawns to the orders of their Kings, Queens and Bishops!

Not only were this team giving to one mission but many, we being invited by the Tamil Tigers into their field hospital at Vavuniya. Who would go to such a place under heavy armed guards, who would be prepared to risk their lives to minister to the war wounded? Namely this team mostly of retired people who preferred the lives of others whom the world described as “terrorists”. This hospital was unique, the Hospital Registrar explained that they had no medical supplies, no doctors or nurses, his patients crying out in pain with their extreme war wounds but even though they were of Hindu background, they knew a name who could help them, a name above every other name, the Name of Jesus and with them crying out this name, we laid hands on the sick who fully recovered according to scripture, the scripture that pulsates day after day, hour after hour in our hearts to this day.

It was in this context that money was given, for money meant nothing to us, lives meant everything, and frankly we were and are an unwaged ministry working for nothing, indeed just the opposite putting all we had into the cause, but years of legal action after legal action prevented us from going back to the mission field having to pay legal costs defending ourselves from constant legal actions one after another in line with the threats issued by text to “destroy us through official channels.”
 

Our team became used to seeing signs, wonders and miracles too in line with scripture, there being a God given passion to give up all our worldly wealth in line with this cause, it was not me controlling vulnerable people as our opponents declared, but the Spirit of God placing on hearts to give passionately, this not only coming on our team but upon Lindsay and I too, founders of the ministry.

A young man was presented to me in the war years at Anuradhapura, a man without eyes in his sockets. “Pastor, he wants to see”, came the cry. “Oh, my God”, I replied, and immediately a voice was heard by me saying, “that’s OK, I’ll take over”. Immediately I lost control of my mouth, it started to move from the depths of my innermost being declaring and commanding eyes to grow in the name of Jesus. Before my eyes, eyes grew in front of a whole congregation that included my son Matthew diagnosed with autism, a son with spiritual understanding just as my other son John has, both sons coming to understand the NAME OF JESUS, to such a degree that we all were under this precious sacrificial name, the name above every name for at this name eyes grew! It is out of this passion we all gave into this cause, no natural manoeuvrings as our opponents would declare but one out of the depths of hearts crucified with Christ so that the faith of the Son of God could manifest through us.

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

 

Our hearts therefore moved from 2010 to constantly defending ourselves from a society rapidly turning away from God rather than embracing the riches of his Word. Our opponents moved on this constantly, it being apparent now that those attacking us were embracing that which is seen as a “woke” ideology, we being seen under this ideology as Christians, as being part of a system of social injustices, rather than givers of life.

A lady joined us called Margaret Ryder, a lady who was given little opportunity in the establishment “church” to minister the Gospel, whereas with us, as with all who join us an understanding comes that we are the Royal Priesthood of Believers rather than being cannon fodder in a pew!

Significant here is the word “peculiar”, those coming against us not operating from the spiritual perspective of peculiarity but rather that of human perspective and rationality.

She too wanted to give her all inviting me to her flat on pension day to place her all into the cause. Under the guidance of the Holy Ghost I took the money, her Social Worker being aware of this accepting as he put it that she was doing this out of her own free will rather than being manipulated into these actions.

She so wanted us to use the money to build a studio in our own house so as to “reach every creature”, an act we moved upon knowing it was her designated desire, so we set up a loft conversion in our own house from the funds Margaret had given into the ministry as well as other funds including our own.

The threats to “destroy us through official channels” began to be acted upon, the Council Planning Office began to get involved as was a co-ordinated group of complaints to the Charity Commission declaring we were misappropriating funds for our own personal gain, our opponents not acknowledging the sacrificial group of trustees we had been, but declaring somehow that our activities were in the league of looking to build up treasures on earth rather than obey Christ Jesus and his command, the word “charity” referring to the Greek word agape being to give the whole of ones life out of love for another.

 

How many charities in Britain can say this today, for this one certainly can, and has come under severe persecution from offices of state acting upon complaints, rather than adhering to the written constitution of the nation that demands government and monarch to “increase virtue in Christ’s religion.” (1534/59 Act of Supremacy included in the Coronation Oath 1689 Act).

 

Far too often the “letter of the law” has taken precedence over the spirit which is totally contrary to the Monarch’s promise to “apply law with law and justice in mercy”, our laws over centuries coming under the heading “Spiritual and Temporal”, there being privileges in law to those proclaiming the Gospel, these privileges being ignored by present day politicians who look to give priority to a Global Order rather than the ancient landmarks of state.

A major Charity Commission inquiry followed placing great stress on trustees. Question after question was asked, we getting great support from Dylan Moore, Solicitor of David Jones Solicitors, Llandudno who acknowledged our hearts reaching out to help us just as the Good Samaritan helped the one battered and bruised on the Jericho Road.

 

It was decided that because we had bought a loft conversion in our own house, the space for this being given for nothing, so as to have space for a studio to reach the world that we had mis-used charity funds even though most of these funds had come from designated offerings specifically for this purpose. Hours were spent by the Charity Commission team finding nothing wrong with our accounts and so in effect we were found guilty on a single point, costing Lindsay and I thousands in costs.

 

We knew at this point the solution, we had not given everything to the Lord and so Lindsay and I made a decision that all was to be in the name of the Lord Jesus, so we moved from here into a house owned by the Charity and ran a studio from there in Rhos On Sea. Ownership of our own now meant nothing to us for everything in the Lord’s name had to be defended by Him which is our position now living in premises in Scotland that carry His name, not ours!

 

Eventually the Charity Commission backed down but only after a fascinating discovery, and that regards the leader of the Commission’s team, a young lady who was getting married, her new name, an unusual one, I knew well for the new name was associated with one of the groups who had waged war on us, indirectly linked to the text threats we had had, indeed the discovery in our view was that we had been set up again at great cost but that good was coming out of it for all now was to belong to the Lord. The clear conflict of interest in our view had been turned around for good!
